What is the law of attraction?

The law of attraction is the belief that your thoughts, feelings and focus shape your experiences, so positive thinking tends to attract positive outcomes and negative thinking tends to attract negative ones. It means getting clear on what you want, believing it's possible, feeling as though you already have it and taking action that matches the intention that you put out.

People can tend to believe that manifestation is just making intentions, affirming and visualizing; However, it is 50% intention and 50% action. The universe cannot hand something to you unless you put out your hand aka make it possible to bless you!

Is the law of attraction scientifically proven?

No. There's no scientific evidence that thoughts send out a "frequency" that draws matching events toward you. However, several well-studied psychological ideas overlap with how the law of attraction works in everyday life:

  • Selective attention: when you focus on a goal, your brain notices related opportunities more easily.

  • Goal-setting: clear, written goals are linked with better follow-through.

  • Self-efficacy: believing you can succeed makes you more likely to keep trying.

  • Self-fulfilling prophecy: expectations influence behavior, and behavior influences results.

So while it isn't a law of physics, practicing it can change your mindset and behavior in ways that genuinely help.

What are the core principles of the law of attraction?
Like attracts like

The central idea is that similar energies draw each other in. Ie. people that are already feeling abundant, loved or confident draws more of those experiences. Its why rich people can make more money, as they are already in the feeling of having alot of money. ever notice how you get hit on more when you're in a relationship? That's why, you are already in the feeling of being loved so you naturally attract it.

Your focus grows

What you consistently pay attention to tends to expand in your life. Focusing on lack can make you feel and act from scarcity, while focusing on gratitude and what you already have bring that in more.

Feelings matter more than words

Saying "I am wealthy" while feeling anxious isn't the same as feeling secure. The emotion behind your thought is considered to be more powerful. Why? Because your subconscious mind responds strongly to emotions.

Action completes the process

Manifest-Action. Doing things that match the version of you who already has your goal. Manifesting can be fun but don't get caught up in making vision boards and not take any action. If you want a million dollar business, build it! If you want love, don't stay in the house all day, go outside and meet new people. Manifestation is 50% intention and 50% action.

Law of attraction techniques you can try
  • Visualization: picture your goal in detail for a few minutes each day, ideally in the morning ot in the evening when your subconscious mind if more active.

  • Affirmations: repeat short present-tense statements like "I make 10k a month"

  • Scripting: write about your life as if your desire has already happened and write it in extreme detail. You can even write a letter from your future self to your current day self.

  • Vision boards: collect images that represent your goals and what you want to manifest. Use your vision board as a toll to help you visualize yourself living your dream. Display it somewhere you'll see everyday and visualize!

  • Physical anchors: wear a piece of jewelry or carry a crystal as a reminder of your manifestation and what your trying to draw in.

What the law of attraction is not
  • It's not blame. Illness, loss, poverty and injustice are not caused by "bad thoughts." Many hardships come from forces outside anyone's control.

  • It's not toxic positivity. You don't have to pretend to be happy all the time. Feeling and working through hard emotions is healthy. Feel your feelings, then focus on the positive.

  • It's not passive. Wishing without acting rarely changes anything.

  • It's not about controlling others. It works best on your own mindset and actions, not on making a specific person behave a certain way.

Law of attraction for money, and love
Money

Work on money beliefs, do you think that making money has to be hard? Is money evil to you? Add in positive affirmations around making money like "I make 10k a month" "money is easy and fun for me to make".

Love

Focus on self-love! Everyone is reflection of you and your own belief systems about yourself. If you think that you are loveable, desirable, amazing other people will too. Focus on your own self love and embodying love and a partner will follow.

Don't forget to make it easy for the universe to send you a partner, go outside meet new people, talk to strangers. Remember, its 50% intention and 50 % action.

Why isn't the law of attraction working for me?
  • Your goal may be vague. Get specific.

  • You may not believe it's possible. Try smaller, more believable steps. Instead of affirming "I make 10k a month" affirm "I make 5k a month".

  • You may be focused on lack, when people are manifesting they can get caught in a vicious cycle of asking "when is it coming?" That question implies that you don't have it. You need to focus on already having your desire.

  • You may be not taking enough action Add one aligned action a day.

  • You can't always expect overnight results, sometimes it can happen but expect for things to take time.
